Today started out fairly normal. I did not get the normal two cups of coffee in me that I prefer, though; before my daughter called to ask me if I could come take her to rapid care because she thought she had strep throat. Yes, she is in college. Yes, she is almost 21. Yes, she does have her driver's license (just got it a couple months ago; this has been a process for sure!). We are currently working on getting her car inspected and ready to drive, so for now, I get to do these things for her. Anyway, it turns out she just gets sick like her dad, if you know what I mean. I am so thankful to be able to do these things for her! Just a few weeks ago, I wouldn't have been able to do it.
Parenting adult children may look different, but apparently the mom job never really ends. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.
Speaking of the adventures of motherhood, you might enjoy the wild story of my daughter's birth during an ice storm.
